The exterior of this kaleidoscope is multi-layered fused dichroic on red glass, all encased in clear, and then slumped into an easy to hold pod shape.
Beautifully random 10-point images are produced by a tapered
two-mirror system.
All of the glass in the free-turning dry object cell is delicately lampworked for greater detail.
A fused dichroic treatment as part of the object cell acts as a softening filter behind the image.
Edition #4 stands 6” tall, with the weight typical of a paperweight.
